"При загрузке системы не найден cdrom!!!"

Есть компьютер с 1 SATA диском и 1 cd-rw приводом. Стояла винда - всё железо было видно. Когда ставили debian, то с встроенного в комп cd-rw debian загрузился, но вот ставить систему уже отказался, по причине "сд-ром не найден". Эта проблема была решена путем подключения к компу usb-cdrom и установки системы с него.
Но сидеть с usb-cdrom не хочется, поэтому посставил перед собой задачу добиться работы встроенного в системный блок cd-rw.

В dmesg как я понял система не находит cd-rw

Как объяснить системе, что cd-rw присутствует и нужно его использовать?

Какая у тебя мать стоит?
Таже проблема на Mandriva 2007 LCE и OpenSUSE 10.2
После рытья в англо язычных форумах понял тоьлко, что проблемы вроде изза контролёров SATA. Вроде должно помочь ковыряние в BIOSе но пока сам решить не смог. если проблему напишу сюда.
