DESCRIPTION
Fetchmail is a program used to retrieve email from POP and IMAP
servers.
Salvatore Sanfilippo did an audit and found a remote vulnerability in
fetchmail that allows a remote attacker to write arbitrary data into
memory. To take advantage of this problem, an attacker has to have
control over the mail server being queried by the fetchmail process.
SOLUTION
All fetchmail users should upgrade.
IMPORTANT: if fetchmail is running as a daemon, it will have to be
restarted after applying the update in order to run the new version.
