Sun Microsystems plans to open software engineer position in St. Petersburg office.To fill this opening, an applicant must have experience in c programming,
and must have demonstrable knowledge and programming experience in several
of the following areas (the more the better). In no particular order:
- SSL and TLS protocols
- Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS, a.k.a PKCS#7, used in S/MIME email)
- Cryptographic algorithms (symmetric ciphers, hashes, signature algorithms,
and asymmetric ciphers) used in SSL
- Math libraries ("big num" libraries)
- PKCS standards, such as numbers 1, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, and/or 12
- PKI, X.509 certificates, PKIX, and relevant standards
- Certificate revocation protocols, CRLs, OCSP, etc.
- Protocols used for certificate enrollment (certificate requests)
- ASN.1 BER and DER encoding and decoding
- NSS public APIs
Applicants must be familiar with Unix and be able to do Bourne shell
scripting. Familiarity with Windows software development would be a plus.
Selected person should be comfortable to work remotely with a team located
in US. Strong knowledge of English is a big plus since the person will
regularly participate in phone meetings.
